Connector Type
- V2.0 = Version 2.0 — a manufacturer-specific version, usually referring to pin layout revision or cable type update.

The connector plugs into the Alarm I/O port on the back of a DVR or NVR.

Purpose
The DB26 cable breaks out into multiple wires for connecting:
Alarm Inputs – For sensors, PIR detectors, door contacts, panic buttons, etc.
Alarm Outputs – For triggering sirens, lights, relays, etc.
RS485 Communication Lines – Dash camera control (in some models).
Ground/Common Lines
Plug the DB26 connector into the Alarm I/O port on the DVR.
Connect the breakout wires:
Sensors → Alarm Inputs (IN1–IN8)
Siren or Relay → Alarm Outputs (OUT1/OUT2)
PTZ control wires → RS485+/–
Configure triggers in the DVR software (Alarm settings → Input/Output → Linkage Action).
The DB26-V2.0 cable usually looks like:
One DB26 plug on one end (metal or plastic shell)
A bunch of color-coded wires (labeled IN1, IN2, OUT1, GND, etc.) on the other end
