Progressive Safety System-Calibrator

A progressive safe system is required under the updated Direct Vision Standard (DVS) regulations—not a single sensor or generic tool. The Progressive Safe System is a set of safety technologies fitted to a vehicle (like an HGV) to reduce blind-spot risks for vulnerable road users such as cyclists and pedestrians.

It includes components such as:

• Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) — sensors/cameras that detect people or objects in blind spots.
• Moving Off Information System (MOIS)—detects and warns about pedestrians/cyclists in the forward blind spot when the vehicle starts to move.
• Camera monitoring systems to improve visibility in blind zones.
• Audible warnings (e.g., left turn alarms) and warning signage on the vehicle.
